Docs/Cold Email & SMTP

Cold Email Campaigns & SMTP Setup

Configure custom SMTP servers, connect Google Workspace via App Passwords, personalize pitches with dynamic AI variables, and maintain primary inbox deliverability.

1. Connecting Your Email Sending Provider

Vridhi AI supports two primary methods for sending emails: your own Custom SMTP server (SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES, Brevo) or Gmail / Google Workspace via App Passwords.

Option A: Custom SMTP (Recommended)

Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Email and enter your host, port, username, and password:

  • Host: smtp.sendgrid.net (or your provider)
  • Port: 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
  • Secure: Enabled (SSL/TLS)

Option B: Gmail / Google Workspace

Google requires a dedicated 16-character App Password (not your normal Gmail login password):

  1. Enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account.
  2. Search for App Passwords in Google Account.
  3. Generate a password named "Vridhi Outreach".
  4. Paste host: smtp.gmail.com, port: 465.

2. Dynamic Personalization & AI Intros

Cold emails that use real personalization convert 4x higher and never land in spam filters. Vridhi replaces tags automatically for every recipient:

{{name}} — First name or Contact name

{{company}} — Lead's business / company name

{{category}} — Industry / profession (e.g. "Dentistry")

{{myCompany}} — Your agency or business name

3. Deliverability Checklist (SPF, DKIM & DMARC)

SPF Record

Authorizes your sending server in your domain DNS to prevent email spoofing.

DKIM Signature

Cryptographic key ensuring email content is unmodified in transit.

DMARC Policy

Instructs Gmail & Yahoo to deliver legitimate emails to the primary inbox.
